Ryerson Invitational Thrill Design Competition

The Ryerson Toronto MET Thrill Design Competition is an exciting event where teams collaborate to design a captivating attraction based on a given prompt. Competitors have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and talent in creating thrilling rides or experiences. Teams are invited to compete in Florida, where they have the chance to be scouted by industry professionals from the theme park industry. It is a prestigious platform for participants to demonstrate their expertise and passion in themed entertainment design.

In my involvement with the Ryerson Toronto MET Thrill Design Competition, I had the opportunity to showcase my skills and demonstrate my leadership abilities. As the Creative Developer of the competition, I took charge of guiding the team through the entire design process. I played a crucial role in researching the storyline, creating captivating sketches, and providing valuable insights into the mechanics and concepts. My responsibilities extended to designing the overall concept of the ride, including scenic design, animatronics, lighting, sound, and vehicle design. Through effective collaboration with my teammates, we successfully developed CAD models and brought our imaginative ideas to life. Our outstanding work and compelling presentation earned us an invitation to compete in the competition, further highlighting my ability to lead and contribute to the success of the team.
